PHOTOINDUCED--THIS IS COOL!
sun. january 27, 2008   |

Over here at Shootsac we're signed up for this thing called Google Alerts, so whenever anyone on the internet links to us or posts about us somewhere, we get a little notification! That's how I found this stellar interview at Photoinduced which is a great site that reviews and profiles different photography related stuff.

Definitely a site worth checking out! You can read Damon's article RIGHT HERE, but here's a little excerpt:

"Surprisingly comfortable, even over a sportcoat. The thick, neoprene material and the well measured separated pockets ,curved to fit my body and evenly distribute the weight. You can tell this was designed from the ground up by a working pro. Form and function.

With the ShootSac, I also could have a place for the 80-200 lens (yes, it did stick out a bit with the lens shade) safely with me, allowing movement and coverage with all goods with me. And honestly? It looked better with the sportcoat than the lumpy jacket ,which means something when you’re at a more formal event."

Thanks Damon!

ROWENA CURTIS SHOWS HER SAC!
sun. january 27, 2008   |

**You can't yell at me for not posting three times in a week until SUNDAY night after midnight! Just cause I didn't post since tuesday doesn't mean I can't still make my goal. So I will be posting again today. You can't get me this time!!**

I love to feature Shootsac users here, and I'm going to start doing this much more often! Check out these shots that Rowena Curtis sent in with her chic STUBBORN cover! Stubborn is one of my favorite covers, so it was cool to see these great shots of it!

"At first I thought the bag was just something new and stylish so I didn't get all that excited about it as everyone else. After seeing DJ's video where he was shooting in Mexico and seeing how the bag seemed so compact and easy to maneuver yourself with, I decided to take my blow-it fund for the month to try it out. I had actually purchased just a month prior to a smaller bag to put my essentials in to use while I'm shooting but it was still bulky and whenever I swung it around to bend over or whatever, it kept slipping and sliding so half the time I ended up leaving it laying around (which I wanted to avoid that's why I got a smaller bag in the first place).

Long story short, I no longer look at the shootsac as something as a luxury, stylish thing... I now look at it as a tool, just like a brush is to a painter, camera to a photographer, yada, yada, yada. Yes, it does seem extreme because there are other inexpensive tools you can use and still get fairly good results but the better tools will save you time, money in the long run, and makes life just a little easier. I shot 3 different events this past week and I have to say it lived up to what I was hoping for. It was comfy, it didn't slip and slide, it helped me get into my stuff, and change lenses etc., EASILY. I felt streamlined, compact, and not frumpy or bulky– best of all I think it even made me look like a real professional! Yes, this bag really can change the way you shoot! Many THANKS!"

THANKS ROWENA!!

SHOOTSAC AT SPA!
sun. january 20, 2008   |

Shootsac is in Tucson this weekend checking out SPA (No -- not visiting the Spa - although that thought did cross our minds - we're talking about Senior Portrait Artists.) Our first stop today was to visit marketing genius and child and family portrait artist, Sarah Petty's, class. Sarah bought her first Shootsac from our boutique in Tampa at the PPA Imaging Expo two weeks ago -- but shock, horror -- we were SOLD OUT OF BAROQUE by the time she got to the booth. We made sure to bring her a Baroque cover today -- but after seeing her "style" we're thinking FESTIVE would look great on those LEGS too!

THE 12 DAYS OF SHOOTSAC
tue. january 15, 2008   |

The 12 new covers were a huge hit in Tampa! Just a little update for you on that--they were actually so popular that I just found out that we completely sold out of them and are anxiously awaiting a fresh batch being delivered late this week. That makes our new 12 days launch date next MONDAY the 24th.

We are also going to be having a SALE to kick off the new cover season, so watch your inbox right around next Monday! If you are NOT on the mailing list (as in, have never received an email blast), please ADD YOURSELF by clicking "Mailing List" at the top of this blog and adding yourself.

Thanks!!

JEANINE LINDER WINS!
sat. january 12, 2008   |

Okay, we were in Tampa all week last week and no, I did not blog. I am a very bad girl. Because of this Jeanine LInder wins a free cover of her choice (from what's in stock on the site), so Jeanine, please email info@shootsac.com!

Tampa was amazing. We are really starting to get in the routine of setting up and running our booth, and even though we were located in the nether regions of the Tampa Convention Center, people were somehow still able to find us and say hello.

We also debuted the 12 new covers coming out later this month! We will be sending an email blast out in the next week or so, and we have LIMITED AVAILABILITY of the new covers for now, so you'll want to keep an eye out. We will also be launching one new cover per day for 12 days (kind of like a January 12 days of Christmas), so even if you don't grab the first cover, you've got other chances.

That's it for now!

HEADING TO TAMPA!
thu. january 3, 2008   |

Thanks so much to everyone who has emailed in about the special project--I'll have more information on that in the next couple of weeks.

Tomorrow we head to Tampa for Imaging USA! We will have a limited number of our NEW covers, which won't be released here and on our site for another week or two, so swing by and say hello to us! There will also be our killer tradeshow special, which is worth the trip alone ;)

See you there!
