I have to say that I've always considered the Summer Olympics a little more fun than the Winter Olympics, except for the years that the US has had really great hopefuls in the sports I like to watch, which are mostly only Figure Skating (women's singles), Alpine Skiing, and everyone's fave, Curling. With our lack of a really great, experienced figure skater this year, most of my Olympic hopes were pinned on Lindsey Vonn, who did not disappoint!
One thing that I do love about this years' Winter Games is that they are in Canada, our friendly, beautiful neighbor to the North! I also like that we're in the same time zone, and can watch things as they happen and at normal hours.
That said, it looks like our own SHOOTSAC™ Lens Bag has finally made it! Angela Hubbard sent this shot over to us, and I can't picture a more appropriate post to share with you today! It's so cool that Angela is there in Vancouver, and that she thought of us! She let us know that SHOOTSAC™ is the official bag of the 2010 Olympics! Thanks Angela!

I hope that this weekend was as relaxing and wonderful for everyone out there! I just wanted to have a little chat with everyone about the WPPI Contest.

Well, we should have known that you are PHOTOGRAPHERS, not videographers, because we've been a bit overwhelmed with the emails from those of you who don't know diddly about how to make or upload video! I did post a few little tutorials and it is SO easy to do, but we hear you, so here's the deal.

Yay, it's finally here!!! The 10 WPPI PASS GIVEAWAY!!! The 10 winners of this give away will each win a FULL registration to WPPI--tradeshow & classes!
Every time we go to trade shows, we are overwhelmed by the amount of love and support from you all. People stop us in the corridors to tell us how much they love their SHOOTSAC™ lens bags and hipslips, and there have been SO many times that I've wished that I'd been recording the conversation.
But alas, I don't always wear my recording wires. I should get better about that.
Here is what we want from you:
1. TURN ON your iSight, video camera, 5dMK11--whatever you have and say hello! It doesn't need to be fancy, we just want to hear why you love your SHOOTSAC™.

SHOOTSAC™ is seeking a flock of volunteers to help staff our booth at WPPI!
SHOOTSAC™ loves teaching new customers how to use our bags, sharing information with others, and long walks on the beach. ISO like-minded volunteers to share our philosophy with WPPI attendees, and hang at the busiest booth in town!
More specifically we are looking for:
"Setter Uppers": A setter upper will help to get our booth all set up and ready on Sunday, March 7th. Time TBD.
"Breaker Downers" A breaker downer will help to get our booth packed up and sent home on Wednesday, March 10th at 4:30pm
"Demo Assistants" A demo assistant will help to show new customers our bags, demonstrate changing lenses or sharing other features of new bags. This is a great job for someone with LOTS of personality, a love of sales, and a great attitude!
"Bag Assembler" A bag assembler will help to bag up covers and bags for customers checking out.
"Gift Tote Distributor" A Gift Tote Distributor is like the people on the floats at Mardi Gras that throw beads out into the crowd! This person is responsible for giving away our rad tote to people passing by!
HERE'S THE DEAL
**Shifts are Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for 3.5 hours (9:30-1 or 1:00-4:30)
**Anyone who works at least two shifts OR helps with setup/break down will earn TWO covers PLUS a Hipslip or Shootsac™ Lens bag!!
HOW TO MAKE A DATE WITH US
send an email to matt@shootsac.com with the title: VOLUNTEER FLOCK! In your email, tell us which shift(s) you are available to work. Specific jobs will be delegated upon arrival according to need.

I'm a LOST fanatic. I will admit that my frenzied rush to the TV has waned a bit since they started taking literally YEARS off from new episodes. In recent years, I've found myself quite lost with what's actually been going on. But now with the advent of the LAST season beginning tonight, I will be glued to my TV each and every Tuesday night, anxiously awaiting the reveal of the secrets (AND THE NUMBERS--WHAT DO THE DANG NUMBERS MEAN??)
In honor of tonight, I have to give a huge THANKS to Anna for this little story she sent in:
"Okay, I must start off by saying that I am usually not the type of person to get easily starstruck.
I was in Oahu this last weekend taking the Mike Colon workshop. While I was there I ran into Ben and into Michael from LOST. I know if you don't follow lost, this isn't a big deal. I am a huge fan and follow it religiously. The funny thin is that I ended up talking w/Ben (Michael Emerson in real life) for an hour and a half) with my shootsac on. In the picture w/Michael you can see that I'm wearing my shootsac."
