After receiving literally thousands of email from all of you soon to be shootsac owners in the past couple of days, the question on everyone's mind is WHERE ARE OUR SHOOTSACS AND WHEN ARE THEY COMING??
I'm happy to tell you that the first batch were shipped yesterday and the remaining orders will be shipped on Tuesday! Also, on Tuesday (probably in the evening) you will be able to log in to the website and track your order.
Also, new stock will be arriving at the end of the month. We'll have bags galore, some old favorite fabric and some BRAND NEW fabrics all stocked up, so for now, check out the new website SPLASH PAGE, add yourself to the "first to know" list, and watch this blog closely for more updates on when that next email will be coming!
If you haven't sent in photos of your ratty old bag yet, I'm accepting them until the end of today, flamingo@shootsac.com. And if you already have your shootsac, send in photos of you with it for a chance to be featured here on this blog!

THE SHOOTSAC WEBSITE LAUNCHED ON SATURDAY!! Yes, that's right folks--you now know what the mailing list knows--the shootsac site debuted in the wee hours of Saturday morning, and subsequently sold out our entire inventory of bags and covers within 36 hours. Well, technically there are about 5 bags left, but I think they'll be gone by the time I check this post in a few hours.
First of all, I must say that this is extremely exciting! We have more bags on the way, more of your favorite old covers, and 12 NEW covers that I shopped for and purchased this weekend!
If you want to buy a shootsac and/or covers, here's how it's going to work:
1. GET ON THE MAILING LIST by clicking the "mailing list" link above and filling in your info.
2. As soon as I have bags in stock, I am going to send out an email to the mailing list 12 hours before I post about the update on the blogs, along with a discount code.
3. Order as soon as you can--for now, all covers and bags are on a first come, first served basis. Once we become a huge company with unlimited funds to buy stock, the covers and bags will flow free as the rivers! Until then, the fastest on the "purchase" button gets 'em.
But for now, a little contest. I have in my hands ONE SHOOTSAC. I am going to give it away for free to whoever sends me a photo of their rattiest, ugliest camera bag! I will pick the top ugly bags and take votes on who should get the shootsac. So send in your photos of your horrible old bag, and tell me why you need the shootsac. Send the emails with the photos to: flamingo@shootsac.com
Big news--there's another way to win a shootsac! BECKER is also running a contest! Go to his blog and tell him what you'd do for a shootsac and get another chance to win!
Also, if you have questions about stock, shipping, covers, the bag, or life in general, please email us at info@shootsac.com. I wish I could keep up with comments on the blog, but I can't! There are amazing customer support people available to answer your emails as soon as they can, and trust me, they know a whole lot more about when your order will be shipped to you, what covers are in stock, and that sort of thing than I do. Trust me, you'll be better off!

GUESS WHAT'S HAPPENING IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS...
That's right folks, the shootsac site is launching THIS WEEK! The 4000+ of you who have signed up to be notified when we launch are going to be getting an email from me in the next few days with some information in it.
If you have signed up (or sign up today or tomorrow) for the MAILING LIST, when the site goes live you will get two things:
1. The notice that the site is now live and that you can purchase bags
2. A coupon code for 10% off of your order.
Once the site is live, you'll be able to buy the basic black shootsac (for men or women) and choose from 20 or so different covers to add on to it.
Why is that important? Well, although we are making bags as fast as humanly possible, we have a LIMITED AMOUNT in stock! So first come first served is how it's going to go. If you're not in the lucky email blast who will have an advantage by several hours, there's a chance that your bag is going to be delayed an extra couple of weeks while bags get made and shipped out. However, if you go ahead and order straight away anyway, you'll still get the 10%.
Also, I am going to be running a contest this week to GIVE AWAY A SHOOTSAC TO A LUCKY BLOG READER! So stay tuned for more information on that (and another possible opportunity to win a shootsac from another photographer).

PARTNERCON SHOOTSACS SHIPPED & A WEBSITE SNEAK PEEK!
Everyone who ordered a shootsac at Chicago's Partnercon is in luck--your shootsacs are on the way to you as of yesterday! As of right now, everyone who had the opportunity to preorder at a show either has their bag in their posession or will have it by next week.
Which brings me to...the website!
I know that many of you have signed up to be notified when the site goes live, and you will receive an email the second you are able to order, at least a full day or two before it is announced on this (or any) blog! Why does this matter? Well, it matters because when the site launches, we will have a limited number of bags available to ship immediately. If you miss ordering while we still have bags in stock, it's going to be another two weeks until the next shipment goes out, and so on and so forth. So as soon as you get that email, get your order in so you can be one of the first to get your bag off the site!
